I enjoyed this unique stroll through someones Lucid dream. With simple yet effective shots the Director is able to convey the dream like sensation of inexplicably jumping from one location to another. It’s something I’ve experienced with my dreams and something I could immediately relate to.

I was also rather drawn to the old person sitting on a bed. My assumption is this is our character dreaming. It looked like an old peoples home and raised the thought in my mind of whether, as you age, you dream as though you were young.

I love when someone takes a technique, plays with it, twists it or just adds an extra sprinkle of creative spice. That is precisely what J W Griffiths did to win the Nokia Shorts competition for 2011.

This film was shot entirely on a Nokia N8 in Paris, London and New York.
